“I like Milah more than Rumple. I don’t think she deserved to die. And I think that if she had taken Bae with her when she left Rumple they both would have been better off.”
I mean, what? Just…what? The woman who frequently left a five year old at home alone to go drink and flirt at the tavern? The woman who left her son with a man she didn’t think competent for anything and never came back for him (despite saying she thought about it, ooh bonus points for thinking). Milah didn’t deserve to die, but she was a terrible mother and the only way Bae would have been better off with her is when she inevitably left him to die in some port somewhere he would have lived and died a mortal lifetime and wouldn’t have had to experience Neverland.
The key point to this confession is “if she had taken Bae with her” which she didn’t. She abandoned him because she wasn’t a mother, she didn’t want to be a mother, and she didn’t care about her child.
Also if she had taken Bae with her, he never would have met Emma and Henry wouldn’t have been born. More importantly, Rumple never would have become the Dark One so none of the events of the show would have ever happened. Hook wouldn’t become Hook, Snow and Charming would never have met, Regina would never have been born because Cora would have been killed for not turning straw to gold. The entire show wouldn’t have happened.
(noun) This wonderful, untranslatable German word describes the feeling of homesickness for a far away land, a place you have never visited. Do not confuse this with the english word, wanderlust; Fernweh is much more profound, it is the feeling of an unsatisfied urge to escape and discover new places, almost a sort of sadness. You miss a place you have never experienced, as opposed to lusting over it or desiring it like wanderlust. You are seeking freedom and self-discovery, but not a particular home. Let’s be real, in a time before the internet people didn’t have more adventures and make more meaningful connections. They watched TV and listened to CDs. Before that they listened to records and read magazines. Before that they listened to the radio and read bad dime novels. Before that they embroidered or some shit.
People have been staying inside and ignoring other people for as long as there have been buildings.
Are they trying to break my heart? I mean, the poor Doctor! All that stuff about hatred! No, Doctor, of course you’re a good man underneath! Remember Parting of the Ways when you said you’d rather be a coward than a killer! It sounds like you’re trying to be like that man again!
